The price to refinish an old or even new component is not based on the surface area of an item, or its weight. The price is much more aligned with the time required to prepare an item to a satisfactory condition so that it can be decoratively plated. This means that it is significanly more expensive to refinish a damaged and badly corroed item than a similar part that does not require repair and is only superfically corroded.

When a potential or existing customer contacts us to give a price on parts we try very hard to give that person a good idea of where the price might start. We will then stress that the actual price will depend very much on the condition of the item or items to be processed.

Ideally all assemblies are fully dismantled before any process. If you leave the dismantling and/or the rebuliding of assemblies to us, this will increase the costs.

Should items require repairing and/or special extra coppering processes, the costs are likely to rise significantly from the base cost.

In 95% of cases we can give a firm price when we can actually see and handle the job to be done and this price will be given prior to any process atall.In some cases we may need to wait until paint stripping has been done, in case this is concealing any problems below.
